North East Area Group update

NE S7 Group

 Although we are only a small 'band of brothers' we are pushing forward and agreed on the dates/topics for next years meetings.

 We agreed that it would be a good idea to build a small test track, giving the group a focus and identity, something that we could use at out ow meetings or even take to exhibitions (if invited).  Something about 1200mm x 40/50mm on a couple of hinged boards for ease of use with both S7 and 0 gauge fine scale track.  The track & points sessions will allow each of us to build a part of the trackwork for the test track, a form of 'crowd funding' if you like, so the costs would be spread over the year, as well as gaining the skills we could use on our own layouts.  Of course, these skills are equally applicable to both S7 and 0 gauge.

 Although this is a S7 group we welcome anyone modelling in 7mm scale, and we promise not to try to browbeat anyone into going S7 (although the thumb-screws are kept handy!).
