Modelling Competitions Past and Present

The Annual Competition for 2026 will be judged at the AGM on March 29th 2026.

This section contains information on current (and some past and future) S7 modelling competitions.

These competitions are open to all S7 modellers, please see the various competitions below for specific details.

The competition subjects for the next three years will be:

  • 2026 - Brake Van.
  • 2027 - Bogie freight wagon.
  • 2028 - Locomotive which is not powered by a non-external combustion engine (steam); therefore powered by Diesel, Electric, Battery, Gas Turbine etc.

The model can be:

  • Scratch Built.
  • Kit Built.
  • Improved R-T-R.

Please note that entry into these competitions is generally restricted to S7 members only, to join the S7 group you may download a Membership Application Form.

Subscriptions fall due on or about January 1 each year. Subscription rates are as follows:

UK and Overseas Membership: GBP25.00

New members joining after 1st September in any year only pay a one year subscription which remains in effect until the 31st December in the year after they have joined the ScaleSeven Group.
