Rob had been unwell on and off for most of this year with frequent visits to hospitals in Reading and Oxford. I understand that Rob died from complications resulting from organ failure.

I have known Rob for roughly 20 years through our shared interest in S7 modelling and membership of the Scaleseven Group - he was a long standing member of the committee being Secretary and later Membership Secretary. Rob was a damn fine fellow and his conversation was always interesting.
