At the suggestion of a few members, I have created a range of track templates that can be downloaded from the links further down this page.
I have used the excellent track design software 'Templot', developed over many years by Martin Wynne Download Templot from here
It is important to emphasise the limitations of the production of these templates. Templot will produce templates to suit any viable crossing angle, different switch types - loose heel, curviform etc. with timbers 'square on' to one track or 'equalized' (as they always are in slips and diamonds) etc.
I have arbitrarily selected typical crossing and switch sizes for the files below. The other problem is highlighted in this message from Martin:
Bear in mind that if you supply a library of PDF files from Templot, you lose the option to do a printer calibration for accurate printing.
If your members want some basic standard REA bullhead turnout templates, the better option is to print them directly from Templot. S7 is in the quick list on the gauge menu, so it is literally only a few clicks to print out some standard templates.

Many modellers have designed entire layouts using this software (I have!) but the templates below, if printed out, will give you a good idea of just how big things are and give a guide to what will fit into your available space. Please note that the tandem templates have not had any adjustments made to the checkrails or timbering and will show the 'raw' template.
