Tanat Valley 3 by Peter Drost
On a late February afternoon when Storm Doris was doing its worst to disrupt all manner of things eight intrepid modellers from as far apart as Leatherhead and Wallingford made their way to Northwood to convene at Peter Mann's for an afternoon of modelling, model admiring and just plain chatting accompanied by tea and biscuits. The Wigleys brought with them numerous fullsize plans to pass on to others to be poured over at their leisure as well as an LSWR T1 0-4-4T plus a couple of ex-CCW NPCCS stock built originally to Finescale standards and which had recently been converted to S7 (see photo). Mr. T had brought a few wagons including a couple of recent additions to his stock whilst Mr. C was showing the frames for the next loco to be built, an M & GN 0-6-0T, plus a couple of other items of stock. The stock as usualwas displayed on Merney Junction where Mr M was displaying a number of items including his NER electric loco.
As always the S7 Group was put to rights with numerous questions as to what is happening and the usual dead-pan reply "you'll have to wait and see" which was followed up by the usual "why don't you do this or that or ....". Again the insrutable dead-pan smile but it is true that any announcements will be made when they are ready to be made.
