North East Area Group update

Our March meeting at Locomotion was a bit sparse - 2 people attended, Simon and yours truly.

 I brought along the two test track boards, some O and S7 track and a couple of S7 wagon projects.  Simon brought some S7 track panel he had built for the test track and some O gauge wagons.

 We sorted out the 'layout', how we were going to lay the track and were just about to 'set to' and actually do some work when we realised we had no glue to stick down the underlay or the track!

 We re-gauged a couple of Simon's wagons to S7 to see if it was possible as a 'quick fix' to try to avoid some of the issues with using Slaters axles being to long for RTR wagons.

 I would have put up some pictures - but I also forgot my camera.  Simon did take some pictures and loaded them onto the Western Thunder S7 thread so if anyone cares to peruse that forum (no joining required to view) they can see the 'action'.

 Hopefully the boards will be joined and some track laid by the time we meet again in June.  And on that note I need to advise of a change of date.  Due to the local model railway club holding an exhibition that weekend, and it being the day after the GOG Donny event, I have put the date back one week, it is now Sunday June 11^th at Locomotion, Shildon, from about 10:15.
