SE Area Group Report May 2018

For the three meetings since the last report we have averaged ten people attending each meeting. The goods yard has now been completed and wired up. We had hoped to have proper running meetings by now but little gremlins keep getting into the wiring and have to be rectified. Hopefully by the next report this will all be resolved.

Our group successfully manned the S7 stand at the Alexandra Palace Exhibition and we also supported the Model Railway Club’s new S7 layout Bow Junction. In respect of this new layout Rob Wigley is well on the way to producing etches for 4-wheeled North London Railway coaches.

The main change that has taken place in our group is that now everyone makes their own tea and coffee. This has been made possible because of the generous donation of an urn by Eldred Clarke. It also means I do not have to carry trays of full mugs of tea and coffee the 100 ft from the kitchen.
