South East Area Group Report August 2018

Since my last report we have held three well attended meetings in Northwood. At the last meeting we commissioned one half of the fiddle yard so that in conjunction with the completion of the wiring at the other end of the shed, we can bring trains from the fiddle yard the whole 40 ft to the station at the other end (there are no platforms yet). 

In wiring the servo motors driving the points, because I was having problems with fitting micro switches to change the polarity of the crossing, I took all the wiring back to the control panel and fitted DPDT switches to operate the points. This was much easier since the control panel is quite close to most of the points.
