At the end of the axle there is a disc about 3mm diameter and 0.2 mm thick - it can be eased off with a fine scalpel blade pressing just inside the hub, but be careful not to ping it across the room (don't ask!). Once that is removed you can see the end of the axle and a black top-hat bush. To remove the wheels, use a drift and light hammer.
I did this to ease the wheels out to S7 back-to-back.
