In this period, we have had two meetings in my shed, but obviously we had to cancel the March meeting and also the April meeting.

I think that the May meeting is also in doubt. However, on the 10th and 17th April we had virtual meetings using Zoom and we plan to continue doing this weekly.

For both the virtual meetings we had 8 people joining in. At our most recent meeting we arranged that each person had three minutes to describe their latest project and then questions were taken. It worked quite well

At the February meeting Eldred test-ran his newly built, M&GN Class C locomotive. This was the test build from the latest ACE kit for the M & G N Circle; this is to be followed by the rebuilt version with a G7 boiler.

Eldred described his painting procedures which he is going to use on his Class C. Eric Ramsey described a locomotive he is building and also a wagon. Eric Hines asked some questions about GWR Sentinel steam shunters since he is going to purchase one from Dapol. Peter Morgan asked about fitting tie bars to points using brass wire and plastic tubing.

George Morris described and showed us some point work he is building using flat bottom track. He said that it was more difficult than using bull head rail. Rob Thompson said that he was going to restart building a loco kit, which I think he said was an M7. He showed us his progress so far. He said he was removing the paint that he started using. this was followed by a discussion on how to remove paint from brass

Peter Mann then showed the progress he had made building a foam board mock up of Bow Station building, which is for the Model Railway Club's new ScaleSeven Layout. He also showed progress on the Locomotive Erection Shop building, which had now been fitted with the cosmetic laser cut brick panels.
