South East Area Group Report May 2024

Unfortunately, we have sad news to report this month since one of our longest serving members, Peter Moore, passed away after a very long illness. Peter, apart from being one of the three members of the Group having the initials PM and the first name of ‘Peter’, was a very friendly and loyal member. He was also a very good and meticulous modeller and he will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with Peter’s family at their sad loss. Peter’s son Ron is going to join the Scale 7 Group.

ScaleSeven SE represented the ScaleSeven Group at the London Festival of Railway Modelling at Alexandra Palace in March. During the Exhibition David Wigley completed building a Parkside Dundas ‘Grampus’ wagon. All the axle guards and brake gear are from etches produce by his brother Rob. We have just had a SHED meeting and there were 9 people present. The shed is a bit crowded since Bow Junction (The MRC S7 layout) is also erected in the shed.

John Walker brought samples of his plug track which included all the components which he had produced on his 3D printer.
