During the last 3 months we have continued to hold weekly zoom meeting which were attended by 6 to 8 members, with the exception that on the last Thursday of the month we held a physical meeting in person in the SHED at the bottom of my garden. About 6 to 9 members attended these in person meetings.
The main topic of discussion has centred around the fabrication of Bullied loco wheels, for which John Walker has designed software so that they can be 3D printed, and John has in fact printed some wheels on his own 3D printer. Some wheels have been sent away to be printed from a ferrous material. Now Eldred Clark has started turning these iron wheel to create finished loco wheels. In addition, John has printed some wheels with resin and fitted steel tyres to them.
Eric Ramsay is building an NE Agricultural Implement Wagon from a Connoisseur Kit.
Eric Hines has his new layout called Watlington all ready to go to the 2024 London Festival of Railway Modelling. He has recently upgrade some of his Dingham couplings with Flippem couplings, which can cope with situations where there are variations in coupling positions.
