Warley MRC S7 Group Report November 2022

If you have been following the quarterly GOG newsletter updates, from the Warley Model Railway Club (which I submit) you will know that Ellerton Road has been modified. This modification has consisted of widening some of the 2-foot-wide boards, using redundant 1 foot boards from the Dewsbury layout, along with replacing the wagon turntable and cattle dock. The existing track work had to be modified providing extra space to add a 2 road coal yard, a short siding to a possible warehouse/cement store and also inserting a run around loop in the goods shed road.

All new points have been built by Kevin Turville with the exception to one which was changed and re-laid by Ron Pitts and me who also laid the rest of the plain trackwork – identifiable by the unstained plywood sleepers.

Ellerton Road is due to be exhibited at the 2023 Warley model railway show, so a lot of work still to do.
