South East Area Group Report November 2021

The South East Area Group has continued to hold weekly zoom meetings, which are attended by 8 to 10 members.

In January we intend to restart face-to-face meetings in my shed. Up until recently Covid had been the main reason why we could not use the shed, but for the last two months, parts of Bow Junction have been erected there which means there is hardly enough room for one person to move about let alone 8 or 9 people.

Eric Hines has continued working on the buildings for his new layout, Watlington.

Eric Ramsay has been working on both NE locos and rolling stock. He has continued producing some items by 3D printing.

Eldred Clark has recently been building a tender for an M&GN locomotive.

Rob Wigley has been helping several members by producing etches for their various projects including North London Coaches.

John Walker has provided similar support with 3D printing, including working on his own 3mm projects.

I have been building fiddle yards for Bow Junction.

On the 9th October most of the Group attended the S7 meeting in Mark where we all had a very enjoyable time.

We took 3 boards from Bow Junction and we were able to run trains on two of the boards.

Also I have purchased NLR 4-4-0 inside cylinder locomotive which was built by Michael Druiett, which together with the NLR 0-6-0 that George Morris built means that I now have 2 North London locos.
